King Jay is the darkest-toned and most savory of the Pinots we produce.  Each year it shines with dark fruits, classic cherry cola, botanicals, complex layers, and candied black cherries.

The sources of our coastal vineyards have always supported a large population of native Blue Jays. Because of this, the old locals came to refer to the area as” Blue Jay” in the local Boontling dialect. As legend has it, the mighty ruler of these birds was the “King Jay,” and we have in turn taken this name for our coastal Pinot Noir from Kendric Vineyard.

Each vineyard and block we blend into King Jay contribute its unique character, and the wine exhibits this richness and complexity seamlessly. “King Jay quite simply comes from some of the most spectacular pinot noir vineyards in the new world.”
